We are so proud to have Ruckus live with us at Shadalane Ranch. Truly, the highlight of who he is, in temperament and disposition, surmount to any other male golden we have experienced. He can interact with the most aggressive & dominant male, yet, he will never engage in a brawl. Puppies, dogs of any variety of breeds, all can poke him or tug on his ears, almost hurting him, but he will look at it as fun. He is what breeders should want to breed, in temperament and disposition.
As a show producing prospect, he has a huge front (posternum), beautiful neck into nicely laid back shoulders, good length of rear stifle, moderate size head piece, more than moderate substance, good depth of chest, efficient reach and drive, clean coming and going, correct body ratios, excellent bite, and a pretty length of coat. He stands at 23 1/2 inches and weighs in at approximately 75 lbs.
As for Ruckus' pedigree, he is line bred back 3 & 4 generations on CH Gorca's Merlin, SDHF, who goes back to the amazing Birnam Wood & Laurell lines. His sire, Presto, has proven to be an outstanding producer, and a breeder's choice to improve in as many aspects possible. Ruckus' dam, Chloe, is infamous for obtaining the most number of specialty wins, male or female, in breed history. She has the highest number of Best In Show wins, of any female and only coming second to "James" (Ch. Asterling's Wild Blue Yonder, SDHF). Chloe won the 2010 Top 20 Competition and the 2014 National Specialty. She is the only Golden Retriever with a Platinum title. Chloe is also an Outstanding Dam, producing 11 champions and still counting, proving once again, her value to the breed. To have a Chloe son, gives us great pride.
